This is a nice state park.
This park has a lot of shade spots. This park should not be confused with Davy Crocket Birthplace State Park. They are totally different and are many miles apart.

Camping
We have gone camping twice since I have last posted. I have been asked what do I bring to eat on our trips. Well I do not like cooking on gas so I do most of the cooking before we leave. The microwave is my friend during camping. I do use the stove for breakfast foods always. I am learning how to lite my stove without fear. Yes, I am afraid of gas.
Breakfast usually is eggs, meat and toast. We bring lots of eggs and some kind of bacon, sausage and fresh bread. (homemade) Real butter and solid cheese is always in the fridge. Drinks are coffee, tea, juice or milk are also available. Sometimes, I make pancakes but that requires I use my stove.
Lunch we had chili and hotdogs. (Nathan’s brand) I did not use bread for this. This meal was already for me to heat up in the microwave. The hotdogs were not. Sometimes I have had use the stove or Tom uses the outdoor grill. We drink water for lunch. I have done sandwiches, soups and salads on other camping trips.
Dinner we get together with other campers and we make hamburgers and mac and cheese with a vegetable or a salad. I have made tomato sauce and pasta and beef stew. Both these items were already prepared and just needed to be heated.
While we are at the campfire, after dinner, we have smores or chocolate shakes. I also bake cookies before we leave my house to have on hand at the campsite. I snack on pistachios, fruit, and chips and salsa or pretzels.
